# Generate product videos with the right style and format

> Choose the look and structure of your video, attach your Product, and turn one clear idea into an ad you can review.

Turn a product idea into a video with the look, delivery, and message you intended. Start with **Style** and **Format**, then give the video one clear job.

<Accordion title="Walkthrough chapters and key points">
  **0:00 — Prepare your inputs.** Attach the Product and relevant references. Check duration, aspect ratio, Style, and Format before generating. Leave second-by-second timestamps out of the prompt.

  **0:59 — Describe one idea.** Include who appears, where they are, what they do, and one clear message. Supply a script when you want more control over the words.

  **1:31 — Compare creative treatments.** See song, Lego-style, explainer, and UGC examples. Give enough creative direction to communicate the treatment you want without overloading the prompt.

  **3:08 — Set up a product video.** The example uses two animated dogs discussing Mumbies, with a vertical aspect ratio and a 30-second duration.

  **3:48 — Choose Style and Format.** Compare animated styles and iPhone-style UGC. Leave Format unset when you want to preserve a prepared script rather than restructure its delivery.

  **4:25 — Correct common mismatches.** Put no-speech instructions at the start when needed. Check Product reference images, scale, branding, and colors when its appearance is wrong.

  **5:07 — Check language and script direction.** Choose the intended language. Add a specific hook or script if a broad concept does not produce the wording you want.

  **5:48 — Review the result.** Watch the generated example, compare it with your intended concept, and identify what to keep or change.

## Choose the right style and format first

These controls do different jobs. Choosing them deliberately helps you avoid a video that looks right but tells the wrong story.

### Style sets the look

Open **Style** to choose the visual treatment. **iPhone** gives you a handheld, phone-shot look; **Claymation** and **2D Cartoon** give you animated treatments.

Pick the look that fits the concept. Style does not choose your hook or rewrite your script. Choose **None** when you do not want an additional style applied.

<Frame caption="Open Style to compare visual treatments before generating.">
  <img src="https://mintcdn.com/copyaccelerator/IFtn_BtHizwescTu/images/video-prompting/choose-style.jpg?fit=max&auto=format&n=IFtn_BtHizwescTu&q=85&s=e74266dbad715f531ebf2854ade0c1fe" alt="Style picker showing None, iPhone, Realism Flash, Realism, Claymation, and Pixar" width="832" height="160" data-path="images/video-prompting/choose-style.jpg" />
</Frame>

### Format shapes the delivery

Open **Format** to choose how the story is presented. **Testimonial** uses one person speaking to camera; **Podcast** uses a conversation; **Street Interview** uses questions and answers.

<Frame caption="Choose a Format when you want its story structure and delivery.">
  <img src="https://mintcdn.com/copyaccelerator/IFtn_BtHizwescTu/images/video-prompting/choose-format.jpg?fit=max&auto=format&n=IFtn_BtHizwescTu&q=85&s=e36705124ab2d906ce5400482767005b" alt="Format picker showing None, Songs, Music Video, Podcast, Street Interview, and Testimonial" width="832" height="160" data-path="images/video-prompting/choose-format.jpg" />
</Frame>

| What you want | How to choose |
| - | - |
| A phone-shot, direct-to-camera ad | Try **iPhone** Style with **Testimonial** Format when you want conversational delivery. |
| An animated product scene | Choose an animated Style, then select a Format only if its structure fits the scene. |
| A two-person discussion | Choose **Podcast** Format, then a compatible Style for the look. |
| Your prepared script without a different structure | Leave **Format** set to **None**. You can still choose a Style. |

**Have a script you want to keep?** A Format can restructure the delivery and speaker arrangement. Leave it unset when the wording and structure matter more than a format treatment.

Some formats come with a fixed visual treatment. If the picker indicates that the format controls the style, use that treatment or choose another format.

## Practical use cases

  <Card title="Turn a concept into a first video" icon="clapperboard">

  </Card>

  <Card title="Bring a prepared script to life" icon="file-text">

## Set up your video

From Home, open **Videos**. Have one concept and the Product you want to advertise ready.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Attach the right Product">
    Open **Product** and select the intended Product. Check that its name appears in the composer before generating.

    Use the correct SKU and clear reference images. Do not leave a product URL in the prompt as a substitute for attaching the Product.

    <Frame caption="The composer shows the attached Product alongside aspect ratio, duration, Style, and Format.">
      <img src="https://mintcdn.com/copyaccelerator/IFtn_BtHizwescTu/images/video-prompting/product-and-settings.jpg?fit=max&auto=format&n=IFtn_BtHizwescTu&q=85&s=1058832f0c69c70888978c31fb61a5bb" alt="Video composer controls showing 9:16, 30s, Style, Format, and the attached Mumbies Product" width="506" height="60" data-path="images/video-prompting/product-and-settings.jpg" />
    </Frame>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the length and shape">
    Choose **Duration** and **Aspect Ratio** in the composer. For a vertical placement, choose **9:16**; for a landscape placement, choose **16:9**.

    Keep these settings out of the scene prompt. If you supply a script, read it aloud and choose a duration that gives the delivery room to breathe.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose your Style and Format">
    Use the guidance above to match the visual treatment and story structure to your idea. Check both selections before moving on.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Write one clear idea">
    Describe who is in the video, where they are, what they do, and the message you want to communicate.

    For a playful product scene, give the characters one topic to discuss:

    ```text wrap theme={"system"}
    Two animated dogs talk about the attached Mumbies product in a cozy living room. Keep the conversation playful and focused on one clear hook.
    ```

    <Frame caption="Use the prompt for the scene and message, with the Product and settings selected separately.">
      <img src="https://mintcdn.com/copyaccelerator/IFtn_BtHizwescTu/images/video-prompting/prompt-example.jpg?fit=max&auto=format&n=IFtn_BtHizwescTu&q=85&s=c2780335db8facfc4b8eaf71cae46dff" alt="Video prompt describing two animated dogs discussing the attached Mumbies product in a cozy living room" width="1080" height="38" data-path="images/video-prompting/prompt-example.jpg" />
    </Frame>

    Add the exact script when the wording matters. For a video without dialogue or narration, put **“No speech or voiceover”** at the beginning of the prompt.

    Keep alternate hooks and unrelated requests out of this generation. To explore directions first, ask Chat for 10–20 hooks, then choose one.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate and review the whole video">
    Check the attached Product, duration, aspect ratio, Style, and Format. Review the usage estimate, then select **Generate**.

    Watch the result from beginning to end. Check the opening, spoken words, Product appearance, and whether the delivery matches your chosen Format.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Before you generate again

* **Wrong look:** Check Style and any fixed treatment required by the Format. Remove conflicting visual directions from your prompt.
* **Script changed:** Check whether a Format is restructuring it. Choose **None** and provide the intended script when you want to preserve its structure.
* **Wrong Product appearance:** Check the attached SKU and reference images for packaging, color, and scale. Use clear, relevant images before retrying.
* **Unwanted speech:** Put “No speech or voiceover” at the start and check that your Format does not call for a spoken presentation.
* **Weak opening:** Specify the opening action or supply the hook you want, while keeping the rest of the successful concept intact.

Change the input responsible for the mismatch instead of submitting the same prompt unchanged. Review each new result before making more variations.
